The greatest show of automobiles: NADA Auto Show 2025

The most awaited auto show of the year, NADA Auto Show is all set to roll out the carpets tomorrow (August 19) at Bhrikutimandap. The show, which is scheduled to set the stage for the expo of a range of vehicles till August 24, is probably the most anticipated event of the year. All eyes are set on the event especially after the establishment of NAIMA (Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association), which was formed by a group that split from NADA (Nepal Automobile Dealers’ Association). Despite the split, both NAIMA and NADA acknowledge the potential for a mutually beneficial coexistence, with both organizations committed to the advancement of Nepal’s automotive sector. However, the success of Nepal Mobility Expo organized by NAIMA has added to the excitement and anticipation for what NADA has in its pockets for the stakeholders from every sector.

One of the main reasons why the NADA Auto Show is highly anticipated is the introduction to UNITREE Humanoid Robots and Deepal eVTOL UAV for the first time in Nepal. Unitree G1 Humanoid Robot will mark its debut in Nepalese technology market via NADA Auto Show 2025, setting the commencing step in futuristic advancement. The Unitree G1 is a cutting-edge bipedal humanoid robot crafted by the innovative minds at Unitree Robotics, the Chinese company famed for its agile robotic dogs and advanced autonomous systems. Engineered to move with remarkable human-like agility, the G1 is packed with AI-driven intelligence, enabling it to walk, run, maintain balance, and respond to its surroundings in real time. In addition, NADA Auto Show is also all set to introduce Nepal’s first Flying Taxi. Deepal, a sub-brand of Changan Automobile, will unveil its electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft at NADA Auto Show 2025. EHang is credited with launching the world’s first autonomous passenger-carrying eVTOL, setting a global precedent in aerial mobility. The EH216-S is a cutting-edge two-passenger eVTOL multicopter designed for the next generation of advanced air mobility. With a cruise speed of 100 km/h (62 mph) and a top speed of 130 km/h (81 mph), it can soar up to 3,000 meters (9,843 ft), offering a smooth and agile ride. Boasting a range of 35 km (22 miles) and a flight time of 21 minutes, the “S” designation signals that this is a production-ready aircraft, engineered for commercial use.
