The North Face Announces Mountain Quest Night Trail Run In Nepal
Kathmandu – The North Face has announced Mountain Quest in Nepal as part of its regional celebration of International Everest Day 2026. The event aims to bring together adventure, trail running, environmental awareness, Himalayan culture, and community participation under the brand’s Spring/Summer 2026 campaign, Never Just a Hike.
As part of the campaign, 11 explorers from across the Asia-Pacific region completed a trek to Annapurna Base Camp. The main event will be held on May 29 at Gokarna Forest Resort in Kathmandu, featuring Nepal’s first-ever 7.5 km Night Trail Run through the forest trails of Gokarna.
The event will also include a panel discussion under the theme “Heroes vs. Unsung Heroes,” featuring Dawa Yangzum Sherpa and Conrad Anker along with other outdoor and mountaineering voices. The discussion will focus on exploration, mountain stewardship, and the role of both well-known climbers and behind-the-scenes contributors in Himalayan adventure.
The North Face said $5 will be donated to the Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee for every completed run to support the Everest Clean-Up Project. The program will also feature a product donation ceremony for the Nepal National Mountain Guide Association, an awards ceremony, and a live band performance. Participants can register for NPR 1,000 and will receive T-shirts, race bibs, medals, and certificates.
