TikTok is back in Nepal!
TikTok has resumed operations in Nepal from Friday after the Nepal Telecommunications Authority lifted the ban following a decision by the Council of Ministers. The ban on TikTok, which was enforced as a social media platform on August 22, has been removed under the direction of the Council of Ministers.
Based on this decision, the Nepal Telecommunications Authority instructed all internet and mobile service providers to lift the ban on TikTok until further notice, using the authority granted under Section 15 of the Telecommunications Act, 2053.
The previous government, led by then-Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, had imposed the ban on TikTok on Kartik 27, 2080.
