Widespread Internet Disruption in Nepal Amid Global Cloudflare Outage
Kathmandu, November 18, 2025 – Nepal is experiencing notable internet disruptions today following a widespread global outage of Cloudflare, a major internet infrastructure provider. The outage has impacted many popular websites and services, including news platforms, social media, and AI services such as ChatGPT, making them inaccessible or slow to load.
Several internet service providers in Nepal have reported interruptions correlating with the outage. Despite Nepal having a Cloudflare data center in Kathmandu, users are affected by the global nature of the disruption, which is causing intermittent connectivity issues across the country.
When visiting affected websites, some displayed “internal server error” warnings. Others said, “Please unblock challenges.cloudflare.com to proceed.”
Cloudflare is actively working to restore full services, but widespread impact is expected until the incident is fully resolved worldwide.

Users are advised to remain patient as the issue is resolved and to seek alternative means for urgent online communications during this period.
This outage underscores Nepal’s growing reliance on global internet infrastructure and highlights vulnerabilities in digital connectivity during major international service disruptions.
Cloudflare provides the technology behind many of today’s websites and platforms, helping them stay secure from hackers and remain online even during heavy traffic.
