In a significant step toward enhancing healthcare services, the “Sukhi Community” project successfully conducted the handover ceremony of electric motor vehicles for B. P. Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital on December 14. The event, attended by dignitaries from both Nepal and China, highlighted the ongoing collaboration between the two nations in promoting medical development and community welfare.
Among the attendees were Zhu Feng, Counselor for Business Affairs of the Chinese Embassy; Bijaya, Chairman of the Management Committee of B. P. Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital; President Baodl; and representatives of the Chinese medical team in Nepal. The ceremony marked the formal transfer of electric motor vehicles to the hospital, a contribution aimed at improving local medical transport facilities and patient care.
Officials from Nepal expressed their heartfelt gratitude to China for its long-standing support in the country’s healthcare sector. The electric vehicles, provided through the “Sukhi Community” project, are a tangible representation of the enduring friendship and cooperation between China and Nepal. By enhancing transportation for hospital operations, these vehicles are expected to improve accessibility for patients and facilitate faster, more efficient medical services.
The “Sukhi Community” initiative is part of the broader “Small and Beautiful” brand project, which focuses on the development of local communities and the improvement of living standards. Since its inception, the project has been successfully implemented in Kathmandu, Bharatpur, and other regions, delivering meaningful benefits to residents through community-centered interventions.
This latest initiative underscores the project’s commitment to fostering sustainable community development while addressing critical healthcare needs. By providing electric vehicles to B. P. Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital, the project not only enhances operational efficiency but also contributes to a cleaner, more environmentally friendly approach to medical transportation.
The handover ceremony is a reflection of the collaborative spirit between Nepal and China, showcasing how international partnerships can translate into practical solutions for local challenges. As the hospital integrates these electric vehicles into its daily operations, patients and staff alike are set to experience improved service delivery and enhanced mobility, reinforcing the project’s long-term impact on community health and well-being.
The successful completion of this handover highlights the power of joint initiatives in promoting social welfare and health infrastructure development, setting a strong precedent for future collaborations under the “Sukhi Community” and “Small and Beautiful” programs.
