MTM & LLTM 2026: Nepal Tourism Board Makes Strong Impression in India’s MICE and Wedding Market
With a strategic focus on India as a key source market, the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has strengthened direct engagement with leading stakeholders from India’s travel, corporate, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sectors. NTB participated as a Focus Partner at MTM and LLTM 2026, held on January 8–9 at Pullman New Delhi Aerocity, where it delivered an impactful presentation highlighting Nepal’s potential in corporate, incentive, conference, and wedding tourism.
According to the organizers, the event held on January 9 once again proved its effectiveness as a decision-driven and targeted networking platform. The program brought together selected corporate buyers, trusted brands, and senior leadership, enabling purposeful dialogue and forward-looking discussions on the evolving priorities of the tourism and MICE industries.
One of the key highlights of the event was the “Reverse Marketplace” concept, which facilitated one-on-one meetings between buyers and sellers. Through this platform, the Nepal Tourism Board established direct contact with Indian corporate and MICE decision-makers, helping to expand business relationships and enhance confidence in Nepal as a destination.
During its destination presentation, NTB positioned Nepal as an attractive destination for incentive travel, conferences, experiential travel, and celebration-focused tourism, with India at the center of its promotional strategy. Given that India remains Nepal’s largest tourist source market, such strategic participation is expected to support long-term tourism growth, said NTB Chief Executive Officer Deepak Raj Joshi.
The second day of the event featured the “MTM Star Awards for Wedding Planners”, which recognized organizations demonstrating excellence in planning and execution within India’s wedding and celebration economy. On this occasion, Nepal expressed optimism about expanding its footprint in wedding and destination celebration tourism, underscoring its strong existing presence and future potential in this segment.
According to the Nepal Tourism Board, participation in focused international platforms such as MTM and LLTM 2026 will further strengthen tourism cooperation with India. The board stated that such engagements play a crucial role in positioning Nepal as an emerging destination for corporate, MICE, and wedding tourism, while deepening bilateral tourism collaboration between the two countries.
