Everest Summiteers Summit signs MoU with Kabita Nepali
Kathmandu – Everest Alliance Nepal announced that Everest Summiteers Summit Nepal has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Everest summiteer Ms. Kabita Nepali, formally appointing her as the Public Relations Representative for Everest Summiteers Summit 2026.
The MoU was signed during a press meet in Kathmandu, with organizers stating that the partnership is expected to strengthen the summit’s public outreach, communications strategy, and representation at national and international levels.
Earlier, Everest Alliance Nepal had announced the date and vision of the Everest Summiteers Summit 2026 through a separate press meet, alongside the official launch of the registration process.
According to the organizers, the latest press meet was held specifically to formally announce the MoU signing and clarify the role of Ms. Kabita Nepali under the collaboration. The Everest Summiteers Summit 2026 is scheduled to take place in Kathmandu on May 27, 2026.
Ms. Kabita Nepali successfully summited Mount Everest on May 18, 2025. Organizers said her achievement, discipline, and inspirational journey reflect the values and objectives promoted by Everest Alliance Nepal.
As part of the agreement, Ms. Kabita Nepali is expected to represent Everest Alliance Nepal and the summit on national and international platforms, support public relations and communication planning, raise awareness on sustainable mountaineering, waste management, and Himalayan conservation, and contribute to promoting responsible tourism.
Everest Alliance Nepal representatives said the collaboration is not limited to a formal appointment, but is intended as a shared commitment toward mountain protection, responsible advocacy, and inspiring future generations.
Everest Summiteers Summit is an international platform initiated by Everest Alliance Nepal, bringing together Everest summiteers, policymakers, conservation organizations, industry stakeholders, and international partners. The first edition held in 2025 recorded participation from 154 Everest summiteers from 12 countries, along with government officials, diplomats, and national and international media.
The 2026 edition aims to further strengthen dialogue on climate change, sustainable tourism, waste management, and the conservation of Himalayan ecosystems.
Everest Alliance Nepal extended its appreciation to the media fraternity for its continued support.
