New Year Music Fest Set to Light Up Chitwan
Chitwan-A lively three-day event is being organized in Chitwan to celebrate Nepali New Year 2083, aiming to attract both local and international tourists.
The festival will take place from Chaitra 29 to Baisakh 1 at Bharatpur Metropolitan City Ward 22. Organizers say their main goal is to bring more visitors into the area through exciting music and cultural events.
Each day will feature performances by popular artists. On the first day, well-known rock band The Shadows Nepal will take the stage after a long time, along with local bands. The second day will highlight energetic performances from youth-favorite artists, while the final day (New Year’s Day) will feature singers Alen Chauhan and Prakash Dutraj.
Ticket prices are set at Rs. 300 for the first and third days, and Rs. 500 for the second day. Tickets will be available online through Khalti as well as physically.
The event will run from 5 PM to 10 PM on the first and third days, while the second day (New Year’s Eve) will continue until midnight. Food stalls will also be available, promoting local cuisine alongside tourism.
With an estimated budget of around Rs. 3.95 million, organizers believe the festival will not only entertain but also boost tourism and highlight the local identity of the region.
