Foreign Ministry launches Summer Internship 2026 for Policy Research and Diplomacy
Kathmandu-The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Institute of Foreign Affairs have jointly launched the Summer Internship 2026 program aimed at strengthening Nepal’s international relations and diplomatic engagement through policy research and study.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the program was officially announced by Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal.
Under this internship program, policy-oriented research and studies will be conducted focusing on five major areas considered important for enhancing Nepal’s international and diplomatic relations. These key areas include strategic affairs, development and finance, emerging technologies, clean energy, and the Nepali diaspora.
The Summer Internship 2026 has been introduced to directly connect the knowledge, experience, and energy of Nepali students, researchers, and experts living both in Nepal and abroad with the country’s policymaking process.
The Ministry stated that the initiative aims to encourage greater participation of youth and experts in shaping Nepal’s foreign policy and strengthening diplomatic relations at the international level.
