Nepal Handicraft Expo 2026: Celebrating Nepal’s Art, Culture And Handmade Excellence
Kathmandu – The “Nepal Handicraft Expo & Cultural Show 2026” will be held from May 22 to 24, 2026, at Amrapali Banquet & Event Pvt. Ltd., Baluwatar, Kathmandu, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Organized with the coordination of district and provincial councils, the event aims to promote handicraft products made across Nepal while supporting local artisans, entrepreneurs, and traditional industries.
Nepal’s handicraft sector has been creating employment opportunities for millions of people and exporting handmade products worth around Rs. 28 billion annually to countries including India, China, and other international markets. The sector is also considered one of Nepal’s strongest industries after agriculture and plays an important role in representing the country’s art, culture, and heritage.
The expo will feature handicraft exhibitions and sales, cultural performances, live demonstrations by local artists and craftsmen, and traditional ethnic food. Around 70 stalls showcasing “Make in Nepal, Made in Nepal” products and other export-potential Nepali goods will be displayed during the event.
Participants from Kathmandu Valley and districts including Sankhuwasabha, Makwanpur, Dang, Bajura, Taplejung, Chitwan, Bardiya, Kavrepalanchok, Kaski, Jhapa, Dhanusha, Sunsari, Dhading, Tanahun, Palpa, and Baglung will take part in the expo through their local district associations.
Organizers believe the event will help expand the market for local handicrafts, strengthen direct connections between producers and consumers, encourage local artists and craftsmen, preserve traditional art and culture, and support domestic tourism. Entry to the expo will be free for visitors.
The event is supported by several partner organizations including HELVETAS Nepal, Everest De Cargo Pvt. Ltd. (FedEx), Lucky Travel, Bijay Offset, Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited, Nepal Telecom, NMB Bank, Onepasal.com, Hopes International Pvt. Ltd., and others. Eventsansar.com is managing the event.
