2026 K-Vibe festival brings Korean beauty and cuisine together in Kathmandu
Kathmandu- The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nepal organized the 2026 K-Vibe Festival: “Glow and Taste” at Chhaya Center in Kathmandu on Saturday, offering visitors a vibrant blend of Korean beauty, food and culture.

The event featured eight popular Korean cosmetics brands and six food stalls operated by members of the Korean Restaurant Association in Kathmandu. Korean government agencies, including KOICA, the KOPIA Center and the EPS Center, also participated, providing visitors with diverse cultural and entertainment experiences.

Speaking at the festival, Ambassador Park Tae-young described the event as a meaningful occasion that brought together Korean beauty trends and various cultural performances. He said the program offered Nepal’s younger generation an opportunity to connect with global trends while preserving their own identityAmbassador Park also highlighted the growing popularity of Korean culture in Nepal and the cultural similarities shared by the two countries. He noted that bringing K-beauty, K-pop and Korean cuisine together under one roof made the festival especially significantOrganized as part of the Korean government’s efforts to expand cultural ties through the K-Vibe initiative, the festival offered visitors a chance to experience Korean culture through K-beauty products, K-pop performances, Korean cuisine, photo booths, quizzes and traditional Hanbok attire.

K-beauty enthusiasts also had the opportunity to receive specialized skincare advice and participate in makeup classes during the eventThe Embassy of the Republic of Korea has been actively promoting people-to-people exchanges between Nepal and South Korea through various cultural programs each year. Organizers said the 2026 K-Vibe Festival marked another successful chapter in the growing cultural partnership between the two countries, strengthening ties through shared experiences of beauty, tradition and cultureWith extensive publicity and participation from the general public, stakeholders and media representatives, the event drew more than 2,300 young visitors, making it one of the most energetic and memorable Korean cultural celebrations held in Nepal
