Royal Enfield enters EV market with Flying Flea C6
Kathmandu: Royal Enfield has entered the electric motorcycle segment with its first electric bike, the Flying Flea C6. The motorcycle combines the brand’s classic retro design with modern electric technology, making it one of Royal Enfield’s most important new models.
The Flying Flea C6 comes with a minimalist design, round headlamp, slim body, exposed frame and a teardrop-style tank design. It is inspired by Royal Enfield’s lightweight Flying Flea motorcycles from the World War II era, but has been developed as a modern electric motorcycle for urban riders.
The bike is powered by a 3.91 kWh battery and a permanent magnet synchronous motor. It produces around 20.65 bhp power and 60 Nm torque. The company claims the motorcycle can travel up to 154 km on a single charge and reach a top speed of 115 km/h. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 3.7 seconds, while a full charge takes around 2 hours and 16 minutes.
In terms of features, the Flying Flea C6 gets a 3.5-inch TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, 19-inch wheels, disc brakes at both ends, dual-channel ABS, adjustable regenerative braking and five riding modes: City, Rain, Highway, Sport and Custom. The bike also uses a forged aluminium frame, magnesium battery casing, girder-style front suspension and rear mono-shock setup.
In India, the Flying Flea C6 is priced at INR 2.79 lakh, while the Battery-as-a-Service option lowers the upfront price to INR 1.99 lakh. At the moment, there is no official update or confirmation about the launch of the Flying Flea C6 in Nepal.
