KATHMANDU: The second edition of the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 officially opened at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, on Tuesday, August 11, bringing automobile brands, mobility companies, technology providers and industry professionals together for one of Nepal’s major automotive exhibitions. The six-day event will continue until August 16.
Organised by the Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA), the expo is designed as a platform to showcase new vehicles, emerging automotive technologies and changing mobility trends in Nepal. More than 55 brands are participating in this year’s exhibition.
The exhibition includes passenger vehicles, two-wheelers and a range of mobility-related products and services. According to reporting ahead of the opening, the event includes representation from 29 four-wheeler and 18 two-wheeler brands, giving visitors an opportunity to compare products from multiple manufacturers at one venue.
New vehicle launches are among the major attractions of the expo. Organisers had announced more than 40 new launches ahead of the event, with participating companies using the exhibition to introduce new and updated models to the Nepalese market.
Electric mobility is also a major focus this year, reflecting the rapid growth of EV adoption in Nepal. Visitors can explore electric cars and two-wheelers alongside petrol-powered vehicles and other mobility technologies, while companies are highlighting developments in performance, charging, safety and connected vehicle features.
Beyond vehicle displays, the expo brings together businesses and organisations connected to Nepal’s broader mobility ecosystem. The event provides an opportunity for automobile companies, customers, industry professionals and other stakeholders to interact directly and learn about developments across the sector.
The expo also aims to create discussion around the future of transportation in Nepal, including technological development, infrastructure, road safety and sustainable mobility. NAIMA has positioned such industry dialogue and research as part of its wider programme for Nepal’s mobility sector.
With more than 55 participating brands, dozens of new launches and a strong focus on electric and emerging mobility technologies, the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 offers visitors a broad look at how Nepal’s automobile market is evolving. The exhibition remains open at Bhrikutimandap through August 16.
