InDrive Launches ‘Choose Your Own Fare’ Campaign to Empower Commuters in Kathmandu
Kathmandu-Global mobility and ride-hailing platform inDrive has launched a new passenger-focused 360-degree campaign in Nepal under the slogan “Choose Your Own Fare. Only Here.” The campaign, which began in June 2026, will run through September and is focused on commuters in Kathmandu.
According to the company, the campaign aims to promote transparent pricing, greater passenger choice, and more convenient urban mobility while reinforcing inDrive’s commitment to providing riders with greater control over their travel decisions.
In a city like Kathmandu, where traffic congestion, time constraints, and the unpredictability of public transportation make daily commuting increasingly challenging, passengers are seeking more than just a ride. They also value transparency, flexibility, and the freedom to choose services that best suit their needs.
Addressing these concerns, inDrive continues to operate its unique rider-centric model, allowing passengers and drivers to mutually agree on fares instead of relying solely on algorithm-based pricing. Since entering the Nepali market, the platform has enabled users to propose their own fare, compare available drivers, and select the driver that best matches their preferences before confirming a trip.
The company says this approach allows riders to make more informed travel decisions by providing fare and driver information upfront.
As part of the campaign, inDrive will roll out a wide range of promotional activities between June and September, including digital video advertisements, social media content, outdoor advertising, influencer collaborations, enhanced in-app experiences, and on-ground activation events across various locations in Kathmandu.
The campaign will feature real-life commuting experiences of Kathmandu residents—from early morning workers and late-night travelers to students, young professionals, and women who seek safe, independent, and confident mobility in the city. The central message emphasizes that every commuter has different needs and should have the freedom to choose rides based on their time, convenience, and budget.
Rita Pokharel, Country Representative of inDrive Nepal, said Kathmandu is a constantly evolving city where people place high value on transparency, reliability, and flexibility in their daily transportation.
“Over the years, we have learned that passengers are looking for more than just a convenient ride. They want transparent fares, greater choice, and confidence in making their own travel decisions. The ‘Choose Your Own Fare. Only Here.’ campaign reflects our continued commitment to delivering exactly that experience to riders in Nepal,” Pokharel said.
