Jagdishor Panday, Appointed Secretary-Level Press Advisor to Foreign Minister

Kathmandu-The Government of Nepal has appointed veteran journalist and The Diplomat Nepal founder Jagdishor Panday as Press Advisor to Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal.

The appointment was approved by the Cabinet, with Pandey assuming a secretary-level advisory position equivalent to the Special Class (Secretary) rank.

Pandey previously served as the founding editor of The Diplomat Nepal, an English-language publication specializing in diplomacy and foreign affairs.

Over the course of his journalism career, he has reported extensively on foreign policy, defense, politics, international development, and sports. He has worked with leading media outlets, including Kantipur Daily and The Himalayan Times.

Pandey holds a Master’s degree in English Literature from Tribhuvan University. His appointment is expected to strengthen the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ media and public communication efforts.
