KATHMANDU — Nepal-made electric scooter Yatri P2 is set to be unveiled at the upcoming NADA Auto Show, which begins on Bhadra 9.
Yatri Motorcycles announced through a LinkedIn post that the new scooter has been developed specifically for Nepal’s roads and geographical conditions and will make its official debut at the auto show.
The P2 has been developed through a joint venture between Sipradi Trading and Yatri Motorcycles. Sipradi is the project’s main investor, while Yatri has taken responsibility for market research, product research, design and technical development.
According to company sources, the scooter’s battery and performance have been tested not only in laboratory conditions but also on different road sections across Nepal.
The upcoming scooter is expected to carry a “Made in Nepal” badge and feature a mid-mounted motor, tubeless alloy wheels, disc brakes on both wheels, and a sharp-edged sporty design.
Yatri has already established its presence in Nepal’s electric mobility sector through electric motorcycles, while Sipradi is one of the country’s established automotive business groups.
As a locally developed product, the Yatri P2 is expected to compete with several international electric scooter brands already available in Nepal.
The company has not yet officially revealed the scooter’s price or complete feature list.
