KATHMANDU — United Traders Syndicate Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Toyota vehicles in Nepal, is set to unveil two new models at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo on Tuesday.
Confirming the planned launches, United Traders Syndicate Managing Director Ritu Singh Vaidya said the company would introduce two new Toyota products at the auto exhibition, although she did not reveal the models.
“We do not want to disclose the exact models yet, but we will launch two new products,” Vaidya said.
While the company has not officially confirmed the names, one of the anticipated models is believed to be the sixth-generation Toyota RAV4 Hybrid SUV.
The latest RAV4, which has generated significant attention in international markets, is powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine. Its self-charging hybrid system combines the petrol engine and electric motor to produce around 240 PS, approximately 18 PS more than the RAV4 currently available in the market. The hybrid version is expected to feature a 1.5 kWh battery.
First introduced in 1994, the Toyota RAV4 has grown into one of the world’s best-selling compact SUVs. Around 15.5 million units have reportedly been sold globally over the past 32 years, while sales in Nepal have crossed the 1,000-unit mark.
The official price of the new model is expected to be announced during its unveiling on Tuesday.
New-Generation Hilux Also Expected
Toyota’s second launch could be the new-generation Hilux, although the company has yet to officially confirm the model.
Toyota has gradually introduced the latest Hilux across different international markets. The pickup features a bolder exterior design and an upgraded interior, with styling inspired by the rugged character of the Land Cruiser.
The new Hilux could arrive in Nepal with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system paired with a 2.8-litre diesel engine. It is designed to carry loads of up to one tonne and offer a towing capacity of up to 3.5 tonnes.
The Hilux has long maintained a strong presence in Nepal’s pickup segment and is widely recognized for its durability, off-road capability and reliability.

Toyota is also offering special benefits to customers during the NAIMA Mobility Expo.
According to the company, customers booking Toyota vehicles during the exhibition will be eligible for discounts ranging from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 21 lakh. However, Toyota has not yet disclosed the model-wise discount structure.
Customers will also receive opportunities to participate in special Toyota driving experiences.
Among customers who book a Toyota vehicle during the expo, one lucky winner selected through a lucky draw will get the opportunity to participate as a couple in the “Elite Explore Kanyakumari Drive.”
