Kathmandu – Prayashna Gurung from Bhairahawa has won the title of Miss Universe Nepal 2026. Representing the Nepali community in the United Kingdom, Gurung claimed the crown at the grand finale held at The Soaltee Kathmandu on September 27, 2026.
A total of 14 finalists representing Nepali communities from Nepal and abroad competed in the pageant. After progressing through various rounds, Gurung delivered an impressive performance in the final stage and was crowned Miss Universe Nepal 2026.
Gurung will represent Nepal at the Miss Universe 2026 competition, scheduled to be held in Puerto Rico on November 24, 2026. She will also have the opportunity to showcase Nepal’s culture, tourism, art and diversity on the international stage.
Meanwhile, Binita Oli from Jhapa won the title of Miss Earth Nepal 2026. Oli will represent Nepal in the Miss Earth campaign, which focuses on environmental protection and sustainable development, on the international stage.
Indian actress and former Miss Universe contestant Celina Jaitly served as the chief judge at the grand finale held at The Soaltee Kathmandu. According to the organizers, the competition aims to provide Nepali women with opportunities to participate in international beauty and social-impact platforms.
With the Miss Universe Nepal 2026 title, Prayashna Gurung has begun her international journey. She will now represent Nepal at the upcoming Miss Universe competition, where she will compete alongside contestants from around the world.
