Kathmandu – Cimex Inc., the authorized distributor of BYD vehicles in Nepal, has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) after-sales service network with the inauguration of a new service centre in Bhaktapur and the groundbreaking ceremony for another facility in Dallu, Kathmandu.
The expansion aims to meet the growing demand for electric vehicle maintenance across the Kathmandu Valley and improve service accessibility for BYD customers.
The newly inaugurated Bhaktapur facility covers 25,072.60 square feet and operates as an integrated 3S centre, providing sales, service and spare parts under one roof. The facility features eight dedicated service bays, five of which are currently operational, while the remaining three are reserved for future expansion as demand increases. A dedicated vehicle showroom is also scheduled to open at the site soon.
The centre combines traditional architectural elements inspired by Bhaktapur’s heritage with BYD’s global dealership standards. The inauguration was attended by Zhang Jie, Deputy General Manager of BYD Asia-Pacific Auto Sales Division, and Feng Erdong, Assistant General Manager and Head of After-Sales at BYD Asia-Pacific.
On the same day, Cimex Inc. held a groundbreaking ceremony for its upcoming service centre in Dallu. The new facility is expected to strengthen BYD’s service coverage in western Kathmandu and provide more convenient maintenance services for local EV owners.
The ceremony was attended by BYD representatives Zhang Jie, Feng Erdong and Liu Xiaofeng, Head of After-Sales for the South Asia region. Cimex Inc. was represented by Chairman Anil Shrestha, Managing Director Yamuna Shrestha and CEO Sahil Shrestha.
With electric vehicle adoption continuing to grow in Nepal, Cimex Inc. said it remains focused on strengthening its after-sales infrastructure under its service philosophy, “Superior & Sincere Service.” The expansion is intended to improve access to maintenance services, genuine spare parts and support from certified technicians.
The new facilities mark another step in the company’s efforts to strengthen BYD’s customer service network and support EV owners in Nepal.
