7th International Women Entrepreneurs Business Fair happening from 29 March, aiming a target of 5 million
The 7th International Women Entrepreneurs Business Fair 2024 will happen in Kathmandu from 16 Chaitra (29 March). The Federation of Women Entrepreneurs Associations of Nepal (FWEAN) announced at a press conference on Friday. They aim to promote women’s entrepreneurship in Nepal.
The fair will run from 16-20 Chaitra (29 Mar-2 Apr) at Heritage Garden Sanepa. Around 50,000 visitors are expected, with business transactions anticipated to exceed Rs 50 million. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal will inaugurate the fair.
The fair aims to boost recognition and encourage entrepreneurship among women entrepreneurs from all seven provinces. It will showcase the skills of women entrepreneurs and help them establish themselves in national and international markets.
The event will have 112 stalls, offering products from women entrepreneurs from Nepal, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and other countries. There will be small and medium-sized women entrepreneurs, businessmen, and women entrepreneurs from across Nepal participating.
There will also be a ramp walk featuring clothes made by women entrepreneurs. Handicrafts will be highlighted, and attendees can observe products directly. New and disabled women entrepreneurs will also have stalls.
Certificates of excellence will be awarded to women entrepreneurs for various disciplines. Additionally, a book containing stories of the struggles of women entrepreneurs will be released at the opening ceremony.
