21st Gulabari Teej Festival 2024 to be held
The 21st Gulabari Teej Festival is set to take place in Kathmandu to celebrate Haritalika Teej. Organized by the Women’s Creative Center and managed by Rising Nepal Pvt. Ltd. (Event Sansar), the festival will run from August 23 to 25, 2024.
The three-day fair will be held at Amrapali Banquet in Baluwatar. Dabur Nepal’s Dabur Gulabari is the event’s main sponsor, and Chandragiri Municipality is providing support. Similarly, the sponsors include Puja Agarbatti and Manakamana Darshan Pvt. Ltd. Beverage partners include Real Juice and Royal Big Masters Wine, while Nari Magazine is the magazine partner and Radio Aaha is the radio partner. Other supporters include Sitaram Milk, Amrit oil, and Fortune oil, with Amrapali Banquet serving as the hospitality partner.
The fair aims to enhance the skills and expertise of creative women and encourage them towards entrepreneurship and self-employment. A press conference held on Bhadra 2 provided information about the event. “This fair aims to empower women economically, create a technology-friendly environment, and make them successful entrepreneurs,” said Milu Thapa, President of the Women’s Creative Center. “Communities can use this fair as an opportunity to learn skills and market their creations and products.”
Pashupati KC, the event manager, informed the press conference that the fair will feature household and handicraft items, women’s entrepreneurial products and services, special Teej dishes, free health camps, mehendi art, and special gifts. He also mentioned that there will be more than 70 stalls, with 7 stalls dedicated free of cost to helpless, disabled, and disadvantaged women from rural areas.
