Tribhuvan University announces vacancies for Assistant Exam Controllers
Tribhuvan University (TU) has announced the availability of six positions for Assistant Exam Controllers. The positions are spread across different locations, including the Examination Control Office in Balkhu and one each at the Regional Examination Control Offices in Biratnagar, Pokhara, Nepalgunj, and Madhesh Province.
According to the TU Regulations 2073, Chapter 2, Section 3 (2), and the TU Statute on Appointment Criteria and Standards for Contract Positions 2081, Chapter 16, the university announced the vacancies on Monday, inviting eligible candidates to apply. Applicants must submit the required documents specified in Regulation 32 (2) along with their expression of interest via email to deputyconselection@tu.edu.np within seven days of the announcement.
The TU standards state that the Vice Chancellor can appoint Assistant Exam Controllers from among teachers who have at least five years of permanent service at TU, based on the Registrar’s recommendation. The criteria also prioritize candidates with expertise and experience in examination and evaluation administration, management, and leadership skills.
Candidates interested in the Assistant Exam Controller role should have special experience in information technology and communication. Additionally, the regulation specifies that applicants should not have investments in private educational institutions that conflict with the interests of TU’s affiliated institutions or faculties.
The selection process will involve a 100-point evaluation system, including academic and administrative experience (10 points), scholarly experience (20 points), Ph.D. qualification (8 points), research experience (10 points), examination-related policies, IT, and communication skills (10 points), IT training (5 points), participation in national and international conferences on examinations (10 points), commitment to implementing university strategic plans (12 points), and an interview (15 points).
