Chinese Vice Commerce Minister Yan Dong Arrives in Nepal for Bilateral Trade Talks
Kathmandu: Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Yan Dong arrived in Nepal on Monday evening on an official visit at the invitation of Nepal’s Ministry of Finance.
Yan, who is also a leader of the Communist Party of China, arrived in Kathmandu via Guangzhou aboard a China Southern Airlines flight.Since February 2025, he has been serving as Vice Minister of Commerce of China and as a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Commerce.
According to sources, Yan is accompanied by a six-member high-level delegation. The delegation was received at Tribhuvan International Airport by Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song.The visiting delegation is in Kathmandu to participate in the meeting of the Nepal–China Joint Economic and Trade Committee, where both sides are expected to discuss matters related to bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
