Salyan – A tourism promotion initiative launched by the National Forum of Photojournalists(NFPJ) , Salyan, is expected to significantly enhance the district’s visibility as a travel destination through the power of photography.
Amrit Babu Budhathoki, president of National Forum of Photojournalists(NFPJ) , Salyan, said the “Click Salyan” photo walk is more than a photography campaign. He said the initiative is designed to showcase Salyan’s natural landscapes, religious sites, historical landmarks and rich cultural heritage to national and international audiences through compelling visual storytelling.
The campaign officially began at the scenic Dhage Chhara Waterfall, a landmark that Budhathoki described as a source of pride for the district. He said future editions of the campaign will cover Salyan’s major tourist attractions, pilgrimage sites and cultural treasures, helping establish the district as an attractive tourism destination.
Budhathoki expressed confidence that the initiative would play a meaningful role in promoting sustainable tourism while highlighting the district’s diverse attractions through professional photography.
He also thanked Kalimati Rural Municipality, local residents, the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Salyan chapter, office-bearers and members of the National Forum of Photojournalists(NFPJ) , Salyan, participating journalists, security personnel and all supporters for their direct and indirect contributions to the success of the program.
He expressed hope for continued cooperation and support from all stakeholders to ensure the success of similar tourism promotion initiatives in the future.
