KUMON education program launched in Nepal
The globally renowned KUMON Education Programme was officially launched in Nepal during a seminar held on Wednesday. The event brought together educators, policymakers, and experts to discuss the program’s transformative impact on developing students’ critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and IQ levels.
KUMON recognizes every child’s unique learning style and focuses on nurturing their potential through self-learning and independent study. The program emphasizes developing problem-solving skills and training the mind, enabling students to discover and maximize their abilities.
Yoshikawa Yusuke, a Japanese expert emphasized the need for innovative educational methods, while Mitsuko Shimazoe from KUMON Headquarters highlighted the program’s global success in empowering four million students across 65 countries with self-paced, independent learning.
Ganesh Man Lama, Chairman of KUMON IGC Nepal, noted the program’s focus on enhancing students’ minds rather than traditional teaching techniques. Subash Neupane, Chairman of N-PABSON, stressed the importance of adopting such initiatives to address learning gaps and meet modern educational demands.
The seminar concluded with a call for Nepali schools to integrate the KUMON method into their curriculum.
