Kathmandu – The NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal (NADA) has provided Rs 1 million to support relief and rehabilitation efforts for people affected by the devastating floods in Rasuwa and surrounding areas.
NADA President Surendra Kumar Upadhyay handed over a cheque worth Rs 1 million to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle during a meeting in Kathmandu. The amount will be deposited into the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support affected communities.
The contribution comes in response to the sudden and severe flooding that affected areas including Kerung, Rasuwa and Timure. The disaster caused significant hardship for local communities, prompting ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts.
Alongside the financial assistance, NADA has also been directly involved in relief activities in affected areas. The association has been assessing the immediate needs of affected residents and distributing food and other essential relief materials to families impacted by the disaster.
NADA said the initiative reflects its commitment to social responsibility and humanitarian support during the crisis. The association has pledged to continue assisting affected communities with necessary relief and support.
The NADA delegation included Vice President Bikram Singhaniya, Secretary-General Milan Babu Malla, Secretary Meghraj Poudel, Treasurer Nirmal Pathak and other representatives.
