Nepal-China Friendship Short Video Contest Opens
Kathmandu-China Friendship in Focus: Short Video Contest (Nepal) has officially opened, inviting participants to share creative stories that highlight Nepal–China friendship, cultural exchange, and the growing ties between the two countries.
Participants are required to submit a video of up to three minutes in 1080P resolution or higher, with Chinese or English subtitles. While a horizontal (16:9) format is preferred, vertical (9:16) videos will also be accepted.
The contest features a wide range of themes, including “China Through My Eyes,” “Nepal–China Friendship,” “My China Story,” “Chinese Culture and Exchange,” “Chinese Modernization,” “Chinese Elements Around Me,” and “C-Pop and Chinese Film/TV.” Organizers encourage participants to creatively showcase their personal experiences, observations, and stories related to China and Nepal–China relations.
To participate, contestants must first upload their video to TikTok, tag @chineseembassyinnepal, and include the hashtag #ChinaNepalFriendshipshortvideo. They must then email the TikTok link to volunteershomeinnepal@gmail.com with the subject line “Contestant Name + Artwork Title.”
The submission period runs from July 7 to July 27, 2026. According to the organizers, the competition aims to encourage creativity while strengthening mutual understanding, people-to-people connections, and cultural appreciation between Nepal and China through engaging short videos.
