The National Forum of Photo Journalists (NFPJ Nepal) has inaugurated a photo exhibition in China, titled “Crossing the Himalayas- Nepal/Shandong (Binzhou) Culture Week and the Fascinating Nepal” Photography Exhibition. This exhibition is a collaborative effort between NFPJ Nepal, the Binzhou Photographers Association, Chinese tourism photographer Su Xue, and the Nepal-China Friendship Association.
The exhibition highlights Nepal’s breathtaking landscapes, rich art, diverse culture, and vibrant lifestyle. It features approximately 100 captivating photographs taken by photojournalists from various Nepali media outlets. For a month, these photos will be displayed across different cities in Shandong Province.
A 14-member NFPJ Nepal delegation, along with Pradip Raj Onta, the central president, traveled to Shandong Province to participate in the event. Mr. Huang Ze Cun, the Former Vice Minister of the Shandong Provincial Publicity Department, graced the exhibition’s opening ceremony.
During the event, NFPJ Nepal and the Binzhou Photographers Association signed an agreement to strengthen cultural and professional collaboration in photography. Addressing the gathering, Ms. Pei Mei, Director of the Binzhou Foreign Affairs Office, emphasized the role of photography in fostering Nepal-China friendship and supporting China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which was signed recently.
This unique initiative promises to deepen cultural connections and boost tourism between the two neighboring countries.
