Kathmandu – One Cover Pvt. Ltd. and Orchid International College have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen industry-academia collaboration in Nepal’s growing technology sector, with a focus on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity education, internships, and career opportunities for students.
The partnership aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements by providing students with practical exposure through specialized training programs, workshops, bootcamps, summits, conferences, and internship opportunities.
The agreement was signed in the presence of key representatives from both organizations, including One Cover Founder and CEO Chiranjibi Adhikari, Public Relations Officer Lorin Rana, Pen Tester Engineer Pralin Baramu, along with Orchid International College Principal Er. Deepak Bahadur Dhami, Chairperson Bidur Dahal, and Chief Administrative Officer Binita Basnet.
Under the collaboration, students will gain opportunities to develop industry-relevant skills in areas such as AI-driven cybersecurity solutions, threat detection, digital security practices, and modern technology applications. The initiative is expected to create pathways for students to gain professional experience and prepare for careers in Nepal’s expanding technology sector.
The partnership will also focus on organizing hands-on bootcamps, skill development workshops, technology conferences, and knowledge-sharing events featuring industry professionals and experts. These programs will provide students with practical learning experiences beyond traditional classroom education.
Through this initiative, One Cover and Orchid International College aim to support the development of skilled technology professionals by connecting students with real-world industry practices and emerging technological trends.
Orchid International College currently offers academic programs including BSc. CSIT, BCA, BITM, IT Engineering/Artificial Intelligence, and Business Administration & Management, designed to provide students with knowledge and skills aligned with current industry demands.
The collaboration will initially continue for two years, during which both institutions will work together to promote technical education, career development, and innovation opportunities for Nepalese students.
This partnership marks a step toward strengthening Nepal’s technology ecosystem by creating stronger connections between educational institutions and the cybersecurity industry.
