Prapti Shrestha crowned as Nami College SEE Princess 2024
Kathmandu. Nami College SEE Princess 2024 organized by Season Media concluded on 12th June. Prapti Shrestha has won the crown of the 12th edition of SEE Princess. Along with the SEE Princess title, she also won the Most Talented award. The first runner-up was Preeti Sharma, the second runner-up was Nirjara Shrestha, the third runner-up was Jasmine Dhamena, and the fourth runner-up was Shubha K.C.
The winner, Shrestha, received a laptop and a scholarship worth One lakh rupees for Nami College. The first and second runners-up received Samsung mobile phones and scholarships for their higher studies (+2), while the third and fourth runners-up received digital smartwatches and scholarships.
Additionally, various sub-title winners were announced: Eva Kapali (Organizer’s Choice), Sabina Tamang (Popular Choice), Krismi Gurung (Miss Stylish), Kripa K.C. (Viewer’s Choice), Ranjana Thakuri (Photogenic), Ekta Aryal (Creative Award), and Sichu Maharjan (Best Walk).
The event was graced by Chief Guest Nawal Kishor Sah Sudi, Minister of Forests and Environment. He mentioned that such programs help to reveal students’ talents and boost their confidence. He emphasized the importance of such events in honoring teachers and uncovering students’ potential, suggesting that these events should be expanded in the future.
During the event, several teachers and educators who have been active in teaching and management for a long time were honored with the Special Educational Service Award 2081. Honorees included Neha KC, Principal of Swostishree Gurukul IB World School, Drona Bahadur Adhikari, Principal of Manmohan Memorial College, Rabindra Adhikari, Principal of Reliance College, Sarita Shakya Pradhan, International Relations Co-ordinator of Southwestern State College, Sunoj Kaini, Academic Director of Rehdon College.
Devendra Timilsina, Business Development & Marketing Head at Mid-Valley College, Makar Shrestha, Education Journalist, Dhruba Prasad Timilsina, Quality Accreditation Head of Kathmandu Model College, Sangeeta Shrestha, Principal of Kathmandu Valley College, Tanka Kumar Chapagain, Chairman of PABSON Tokha, Anand Kumar Yadav, Secretary of HISSAN Bagmati Province, Jessica Chemjong, President of HISSAN Kathmandu, and Prem Gurung, Associate Professor at Pokhara University. They were honored with certificates and shawls, as stated by the organization’s chairman, Pradeep Raj Onta.
The judging panel for the competition included Rajan Koirala, a motivational speaker; Bikash Subedi, a film writer; Asmita Khanal, a senior air hostess; Sonam KC, a model; Amit Sharma, an entrepreneur and social worker; Sangita Rauniyar, a tourism entrepreneur; and Lasata Shakya, a beautician.
