Burhan Wilderness Camp is located in the Khata Wildlife Corridor of Bardiya and is run by a team of dedicated conservationists in a micro-conservancy style. This area is home to major wildlife species such as the one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tiger, Asian wild elephant, and various birds like the black ibis, ruddy shelduck, nightjar, and fishing owl.
Visitors to Burhan Wilderness Camp in Bardiya National Park can enjoy a variety of activities. Additionally, the camp offers camping arrangements for tourists, but no camping is allowed in the reserve area when there are no visitors.
Manoj Gautam, a Conservationist and his sister Prabha Gautam founded the camp to promote sustainable conservation. This initiative benefits local people and helps protect the local nature and culture.
Last year, more than 500 tourists visited Burhan, according to the camp.
