Mercure opens its first hotel in Nepal
Mercure, a global hospitality brand known for celebrating local experiences since 1973, has announced the opening of Mercure Kathmandu Sukedhara Heights, marking its debut in Nepal. Situated in the heart of Kathmandu, the hotel offers modern amenities and stunning views of the city, surrounding mountains, and the Himalayas, all while reflecting Nepal’s rich heritage.
The hotel features thoughtfully designed rooms with traditional Nepali accents, a rooftop infinity pool overlooking the Kathmandu Valley, and a state-of-the-art fitness center with steam and sauna facilities. Culinary offerings include DYNE, an all-day dining restaurant, alongside Sopra Italian, Zaiqa Indian cuisine, and the sophisticated rooftop Sukra Bar.
