Kathmandu: The National Forum of Photo Journalists (NFPJ) Nepal has announced a partnership with Global IME Bank Limited to provide its members with access to collateral-free loans for camera purchases.
An agreement was signed today between Prakash Paudel, Head of Transactions at Global IME Bank, and Pradeep Raj Onta, President of NFPJ. Under this agreement, photojournalists can avail loans ranging from NPR 200,000 to NPR 500,000 for camera purchases.
The bank aims to provide easy installment plans to facilitate camera purchases for photojournalists. Required documents for the loan include citizenship, salary certificate, income documents, bank statements, photographs, and an application form. NFPJ will coordinate and assist in the loan processing with the bank.
Photojournalists will be able to purchase cameras from G&D Suppliers, located in New Road, under an easy installment plan spanning six to eighteen months. The loan will be provided at zero interest and without collateral.
The signing ceremony was attended by Ramit Karmacharya from Global IME Bank and Ghanshyam Shrestha, General Secretary from NFPJ.
