Kathmandu-Nepal’s young students have made the country proud by securing top positions in an international coding competition, proving their talent on the global stage.
The winners were honored at a special program held at Alfa Beta Banquet in Baneshwor. The event was organized by Dursikshya Education Network in partnership with Discovery Education and Edutech.
Among the top achievers, Anshu Krishna Rijal secured first place in the world in Python Programming, marking a major achievement for Nepal.

Shreyash Khadgi earned second place globally in the Senior Block Coding category, while Binayak Pangeni secured second place globally in the Junior Block Coding category. Their success shows that Nepal’s young generation is becoming strong in digital skills.

Speaking at the event, Dursikshya CEO Krishna Prasad Pandey said that Nepali students are getting closer to global opportunities through such competitions. He added that more students are expected to participate and succeed in the future.
Chief guest Jyotsna Shrestha from FNCCI praised the students and said that developing technical skills is important for Nepal’s growth.
Experts at the event also highlighted the importance of coding from an early age. They said it helps students build creativity, confidence, and problem solving skills.
The program ended with a positive message that Nepal’s future in technology is bright, and young students are ready to take on global challenges.
