CG Announces $100 Million Ritz-Carlton Kathmandu Project, Set to Open by 2029
Kathmandu –Chaudhary Group (CG) has officially announced the launch of the “Ritz-Carlton Kathmandu,” a $100 million luxury hotel project, marking one of the largest investments in Nepal’s hospitality sector.The project will be developed in Thamel near Durbarmarg and will feature a 150-room ultra-luxury hotel, branded residences, a business complex, and a casino. The hotel is expected to open by mid-2029, with projected room rates exceeding $1,000 per night.
The development is being led by CG Hospitality Global in partnership with Marriott International and a group of investorsRahul Chaudhary, managing director and CEO of CG Hospitality Global, said the project reflects a commitment to elevating Nepal’s tourism to global standards, while contributing to job creation and investment growth.
CG Hospitality Global currently manages over 230 hotels and resorts across 12 countries, reinforcing continued confidence in Nepal’s potential as a world-class tourism destination.
