FNCCI Unveils ‘Six Pillars, Sixty Initiatives’ strategic plan under new president Anjan Shrestha
Kathmandu- The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has announced an ambitious strategic roadmap titled “Six Pillars, Sixty Initiatives” following the appointment of its 21st President, Anjan Shrestha, elected through the federation’s 60th Annual General Meeting.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, FNCCI said the new strategy aims to prioritize the long-term interests of the private sector, create an investment-friendly environment, and strengthen the institutional capacity of the federation.

According to the federation, the comprehensive action plan will be implemented immediately after President Shrestha formally assumes office. The strategy includes detailed implementation mechanisms, timelines, assigned responsibilities, and expected outcomes under six major pillars.
FNCCI stated that the roadmap is designed to make the private sector’s collective voice more effective, credible, and result-oriented while modernizing the federation’s service delivery and institutional structure.Under the first pillar, FNCCI plans to strengthen services and expand its network through digital membership systems, grievance management mechanisms, institutional reforms, and startup promotion programs. The federation also aims to improve coordination with provincial and local governments and strengthen district and municipal chambers.

The second pillar focuses on economic reform and governance. FNCCI announced plans to establish dedicated research and legal desks to support policy advocacy, economic analysis, and regulatory consultation. The federation will also actively support the government’s second phase of economic reforms and prepare policy recommendations related to the budget, monetary policy, and private sector development.

Through the third pillar, FNCCI aims to boost industrial competitiveness and economic growth by promoting “Made in Nepal” products, improving export facilitation and logistics, strengthening Special Economic Zones (SEZs), and supporting digital transformation among Nepali enterprises.The fourth pillar emphasizes development cooperation and private sector expansion. FNCCI plans to strengthen bilateral cooperation, promote women entrepreneurship, facilitate investment from non-resident Nepalis, and launch programs aligned with climate finance and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Similarly, the fifth pillar targets labor, skills, and productivity reforms. FNCCI announced plans to establish a Skill Academy as a national industrial training institution, promote technical and vocational education, conduct labor market surveys, and improve industrial dispute mediation systems.The sixth pillar focuses on private sector promotion and protection. Planned initiatives include advocacy for business-friendly legal reforms, improvement in ease of doing business, creation of a confidential complaint mechanism against business harassment, and strengthening international partnerships with foreign chambers and multinational companies.
FNCCI stated that the strategy reflects its commitment to strengthening Nepal’s private sector through policy advocacy, entrepreneurship promotion, institutional reform, and investment expansion.The federation has described the roadmap as a long-term vision to enhance economic growth, industrial development, and private sector confidence in Nepal.
