Miss Nepal 2026 Applications Open, Grand Finale Set For August 1
Kathmandu — The Hidden Treasure has officially opened applications for Miss Nepal 2026, with the grand finale scheduled to take place on August 1 at The Plaza, Pulchowk.
The announcement was made during a press conference held on Wednesday in Kathmandu, where organizers shared details about this year’s competition and selection process. Nepali women living both inside Nepal and abroad have been invited to apply, with the deadline set for June 8. Applications will remain completely free of cost.
This year, winners will be crowned in three major categories: Miss Nepal World, Miss Nepal Cosmo, and Miss Nepal International. Participants must be between 18 and 27 years old and have a minimum height of 5 feet 3 inches. Nepalis living abroad will also be eligible to participate using an NRN card issued by Nepal’s Home Ministry.
According to organizers, auditions will be conducted in Biratnagar, Itahari, Butwal, Pokhara, Nepalgunj, and Janakpur, along with “Miss Nepal Activation” campaigns across 10 colleges in Kathmandu. The final audition round will take place in Kathmandu on June 9, after which selected contestants will receive professional grooming and training ahead of the finale.
The Hidden Treasure Director Pramod Kansakar also revealed a major structural change in the competition format. The traditional question-answer round for the Top 30 contestants has been removed, and only the Top 5 finalists will now face the Q&A segment during the finale.
Organizers also highlighted Nepal’s recent international achievements in global beauty pageants. Current Miss Nepal World Luna Luintel is set to represent Nepal at Miss World 2026, while Miss Nepal International 2025 Urusha Bhandari participated in Miss International in Tokyo. Similarly, Miss Nepal Earth 2025 Sony Ghale won the talent round at Miss Earth in the Philippines, and Miss Nepal Cosmo 2025 Dipshikha Nepal represented Nepal at Miss Cosmo in Vietnam.
Organizers said this year’s official theme for Miss Nepal 2026 will be “Top of the World.”
