Nepali American Business and Investment Conference 2026 Announced in New York to Strengthen Nepal-US Economic Partnership
Kathmandu: The Greater New York Nepali Chamber of Commerce has announced the Nepali–American Business and Investment Conference 2026, aiming to strengthen trade, investment, entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic cooperation between Nepal and the United States.The three-day conference will be held from September 25 to 27, 2026, at the JFK Marriott Hotel, New York, under the theme “Connecting Capital, Ideas, and Opportunities.”
According to the organizers, the conference is expected to bring together government representatives, business leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and members of the Nepali diaspora from around the world. The event aims to promote bilateral trade, attract investment, encourage technological collaboration, and foster long-term economic partnerships between Nepal and the United States.
Speaking at the announcement event, Pradeep Shrestha, President of the Greater New York Nepali Chamber of Commerce, said the conference would serve as a common platform to elevate Nepal–US economic relations to a new level.
He highlighted Nepal’s strong investment potential in sectors such as tourism, hydropower, information technology, modern agriculture, infrastructure, manufacturing, and startups. Shrestha said the conference seeks to connect the knowledge, experience, and capital of Nepali-origin entrepreneurs, investors, and technology professionals in the United States with Nepal’s economic development.
He also expressed confidence that the conference would strengthen networking among Nepali entrepreneurs across the United States, facilitate the exchange of experiences, and create strategic business partnerships. According to him, Nepali entrepreneurs have established a strong presence in industries including restaurants, hospitality, healthcare, information technology, real estate, construction, financial services, retail, education, and transportation.
The conference will feature discussions on Nepal’s investment opportunities, international trade, capital partnerships, artificial intelligence (AI)-driven innovation, and strategies to connect local businesses with global markets.
The program will include keynote addresses by international and diaspora leaders, government–private sector dialogues, startup exhibitions, product launches, investor networking sessions, business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) meetings, and strategic partnership discussions.
During the announcement program, organizers also launched the conference’s official website and opened participant registration. Startups and entrepreneurs have been invited to apply to showcase their businesses, while opportunities for sponsorship, exhibitions, and strategic partnerships have also been made available.
Conference Secretariat Director Dipendra Lama shared details of the event, while Finance Director Pashupati Shrestha responded to participants’ queries.
The conference is being organized by the Greater New York Nepali Chamber of Commerce with support from the Consulate General of Nepal in New York. Speaking at the event, Consul General Dadhiram Bhandari said such initiatives would play a significant role in strengthening Nepal–US economic cooperation.
