NUWAKOT – The Lions Club of Kathmandu Temple Manjushree has distributed essential relief materials to 100 families affected by the recent Bhotekoshi–Rasuwa floods in Battar, Nuwakot.
The relief distribution was organised as part of the club’s Charter Day community-support initiative, with the focus on providing basic household and daily-use items to families facing difficulties following the disaster.
Each family received a range of essential supplies, including blankets, mattresses, kitchen utensils, pressure cookers, spices and stationery items. The assistance was intended to help affected households meet some of their immediate needs during the post-flood recovery period.
The initiative reflects the role of community organisations in extending support to families affected by natural disasters. The Lions Club’s involvement adds to ongoing relief efforts aimed at helping communities recover from the impact of the recent flooding.
