Tourist Bus Association of Nepal (TBAN) team departs for Thailand to explore road connectivity to Bangkok
A team from the Tourist Bus Association of Nepal (TBAN) has embarked on a mission to Thailand to study and discuss potential road connectivity between Kathmandu and Bangkok. The 18-member delegation, which departed from Kathmandu today, aims to explore the feasibility of operating a tourist bus service between the two cities.
The team will engage in discussions with Thai tourism entrepreneurs and government officials to evaluate the logistics and benefits of establishing a bus route that would traverse multiple countries. The proposed route would cover a distance of 3,377 kilometers, starting from Kakarvitta, Nepal, and passing through Myanmar, Bangladesh, and India before reaching Bangkok.
The TBAN team is expected to return to Kathmandu with valuable insights and a comprehensive report on the project’s viability. If successful, this initiative could pave the way for an exciting new travel option for tourists and foster closer ties between Nepal and its neighboring countries.
