NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 Set for August 11–16, Promises 55+ Brands and 40 New Launches
Kathmandu – The Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) has officially announced the second edition of the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, which will be held from August 11 to 16, 2026 (Shrawan 26–31, 2083) at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
The announcement was made during a press conference held at The Soaltee Hotel, Kathmandu, in the presence of media representatives, sponsors, partners, exhibitors, NAIMA board members, and key stakeholders from Nepal’s automobile and mobility sector.
The six-day expo, billed as Nepal’s largest automobile and mobility exhibition, will feature 51 stalls, more than 55 brands, and over 40 new product launches. The exhibition will showcase two-wheelers, four-wheelers, commercial vehicles, electric and hybrid mobility solutions, technologies, services, and other mobility-related products.
Speaking at the event, NAIMA President Ritu Singh Vaidya said the association, which started a year ago with 21 member companies, has now expanded to 36 major member companies, reflecting the industry’s growing confidence in NAIMA and the need for a unified platform for Nepal’s mobility sector.
She said NAIMA’s vision, “Empowering Growth Through Mobility,” and its mission, “Mobility for All,” extend beyond the expo and are closely linked to improving mobility, employment, entrepreneurship, public service delivery, and economic growth.
Over the past year, NAIMA has undertaken several initiatives, including advocacy for reforms in the mobility sector, organizing the first edition of the Mobility Expo, supporting capacity-building training for 1,610 traffic police personnel in Kathmandu Valley, and collaborating with government agencies on traffic management, road safety, and public awareness programs.
Vaidya also announced that at least 10 percent of the expo’s ticket revenue will be allocated to research fellowships and training initiatives. The association plans to publish research findings through the NAIMA Mobility Journal and organize the NAIMA Mobility Conclave in the future.
Due to increasing demand from industry stakeholders, NAIMA is also considering organizing an additional expo focused specifically on commercial mobility brands and related businesses.
NAIMA Board Member Sandeep Sharda said the private sector plays a crucial role in the national economy and that exhibitions like the Mobility Expo contribute significantly to investment, employment generation, and economic growth.
Meanwhile, Gaurav Sharda, Coordinator of the NAIMA Auto Show Planning Committee, said this year’s edition will build on the success of the inaugural expo and provide a more organized, inclusive, and visitor-friendly experience.
Special arrangements have been made to accommodate the monsoon season, while the venue will also be designed to ensure accessibility for persons with disabilities. Parking facilities will be available at Nepal Police Club, and Pathao, the Ride Partner, will provide discounted rides to and from the venue throughout the expo period.
Another key attraction will be a series of free learning sessions at the Auditorium Hall of the Blue Pavilion at Nepal Police Club. Experts, industry leaders, academicians, and professionals will discuss topics including mobility, technology, road safety, consumer awareness, skills development, employment, and the future of Nepal’s mobility sector.
The expo is being supported by Global IME Bank as Co-Sponsor and Red Bull Nepal as Powered By Sponsor and Beverage Partner, along with several banking, insurance, technology, education, and logistics partners.
NAIMA has invited families, students, professionals, entrepreneurs, policymakers, media representatives, and the general public to participate in the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 and be part of Nepal’s largest mobility platform.
