Kathmandu – The Nammi Vigo electric SUV has become more affordable in Nepal after authorized distributor MAW Vriddhi reduced its price significantly for the NADA Auto Show period. The new Vigo E2 is priced at Rs. 3.599 million, while the company says the price will rise to Rs. 3.799 million after the show.
Under current financing rules, buyers can obtain up to 60% bank financing for electric vehicles, with a 40% down payment. Based on the special price, customers would need to pay about Rs. 1.439 million upfront, while the remaining amount could be financed over seven years. At an estimated 5.5% interest rate, the monthly installment comes to roughly Rs. 31,030, or about Rs. 1,034 per day.
The latest Vigo E2 has been made more affordable by removing the moonroof and using 17-inch alloy wheels, while most other features remain unchanged. The SUV features distinctive styling, LED lighting and a practical crossover design.
The Nammi Vigo is available with a 51.87 kWh battery, offering a claimed range of up to 430 km on a full charge. It supports 167 kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in around 18 minutes. A 99 kW electric motor produces 160 Nm of torque, while ground clearance stands at 190 mm.
Inside, the EV offers a 12.8-inch infotainment screen, 8.8-inch digital display, 360-degree camera, 50W wireless charging, heated and ventilated driver’s seat, Wi-Fi connectivity and multiple storage spaces.
Safety equipment includes six airbags, Level 2 ADAS, auto hold, hill hold, hill descent control and traction control, along with Eco, Standard and Sport driving modes.
