Kathmandu– The price of gold in Nepal has seen a remarkable increase, soaring by NPR 10,400 in just one day, reaching a new record of NPR 295,100 per tola. This marks the highest price ever recorded for gold in the country. The previous day, the price of gold stood at NPR 284,700 per tola.
The significant rise in gold prices is attributed to global market trends, with the price of gold surpassing 4,850 US dollars per ounce on the international market, directly influencing local prices in Nepal.
In addition to gold, silver prices have also experienced an upward shift. Compared to the previous day, the price of silver has risen by 40 rupees per tola, now trading at NPR 5,920 per tola, up from NPR 5,880 the day before.
The surge in both precious metals reflects the broader impact of international market trends on Nepal’s local gold and silver prices.
